Porphyry is a volcanic rock formed 270 million years ago. It comes in laminated sheets of variable thickness. The plan proceeds from the cleavage of natural stone is perfect for flooring or wall covering without any need for transforming the surface. The most important porphyry mines are located in Trentino, Italy.
