DEGREE IN ECONOMICS (1992) University of Trento. Thesis: ”Onset and development of porphyry quarrying in the Atesina Area”. This dissertation received an award from the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento and an excerpt was published in the journal “Società di Studi Trentini di Scienze Storiche”.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
1990 – 2010 Owner of a small business specialising in flooring using porphyry and natural stone.
Author of the book “Laying Porphyry on Site – Rules and Practical Tips” (1994 and subsequent updates), and Porphyry Technical Sheets (2010);
1996 – 2010 Teacher of the theoretical and practical courses for porphyry layers, technical – practical courses for sector professionals and maintenance and recovery courses organized by E.S.PO. (Porphyry Development Board) of which he was the Director.
2004 – 2013: Member of the team of “Quality Mark: Controlled Trentino Porphyry” controllers.
2004 -2013: As manager of the E.S.PO. project “Excellence in porphyry paving” involved in technical assistance and consulting to works supervision in public and private works (Melbourne, Trento, Verona, Pavia, Kaust Jeddah; Milano S.S. Giovanni Esselunga Building, etc.).
Since 2013: director of C.I.P.T. – Italporphyry Consorzio Italiano Porfido del Trentino

As a teacher and speaker on laying techniques for porphyry materials, he has also given lectures at course and seminars organised by:
– RMIT University, Melbourne
– Faculty of Engineering, University of Trento
– Architecture and Engineering University of Ferrara (degree course in civil and environmental engineering)
– Universities of Udine, Cesena, Parma ( degree in architecture)
– University of Florence (Department of Technologies and Design, degree course in Science of Architecture)
– Milan Polytechnic University (workshop for master course in Architecture, Construction and Design with stone).

On behalf of Trentino Sprint, he held the seminar “Porphyry Installation: Rules and Practical Tips” during the Stonexpo Las Vegas Exhibition (2009) at the L.V. Convention Center and workshop in Budapest (2011, 2012), and in Ljubliana (2012), events organised in collaboration with Veronafiere, AIA – The American Institute of Architects, the Hungarian Order of Architects and University of Liubliana , Faculty of Architecture.
